FAQ

What is a Certified Arborist?

This is a person who has trained in the art and science of planting, caring for, and maintaining individual trees. The ISA arborist certification program, is a voluntary process where that person can document their base knowledge and expertise. This program is administered by the International Society of Arboriculture and is not governed by law, but is a self-regulating device. Certification provides a measurable assessment of a persons knowledge and competence that is required to provide proper tree care.
